For technology to be effective, individuals and corporations must be able to trust it. Trellix believes that trust in the integrity of systems – whether a corporate firewall or a child’s mobile phone -- is essential to enabling people to get the most possible out of their technologies. Fundamental to that trust are privacy and the protection of personal data. Trellix is committed to protecting customers, consumers, and employees.
Trellix’s privacy policies posted on our websites describe our approach to privacy based on the best-known methods designed to protect privacy, while removing artificial barriers and facilitating business by enabling worldwide free information flow. A combination of policy, standards, procedures, and guidelines are used to drive the effective management of personally identifiable information (PII) in the operational business processes and development of products and services, enabling customers and employees to enjoy the benefit of digital devices.
Privacy by Design (PbD) – as well as Security by Design (SbD) – require that companies proactively consider both disciplines when creating products and services, as well as in implementing internal tools. PbD and SbD also encourage the implementation of accountability processes in the development of technologies and the delivery of services.
As more digital devices are connected to the Internet, there will be an increasing need for data and applications to be shared among devices and for data to be stored remotely (e.g., servers in data centers), with augmented focus on the balance of performance, power management and security. For there to be appropriate protections for this data, there will need to be an increased focus on security of networks, clouds and individual endpoint devices. To allow devices to connect to a network, some device information (e.g., IP addresses) will need to be collected and processed. Trellix believes that processing of device information needs to be recognized as necessary for protecting privacy by better securing the data.
Trellix believes privacy is fundamental to our corporate goals that individuals trust their use of technology. We are committed to protecting the reasonable privacy expectations of everyone with whom we do business, including customers, consumers, and employees.
Protecting our customers’ data – both personal data and intellectual property is a core value – for consumers and corporate products alike.
Privacy is an essential part of Trellix’s brand and a key part of our brand equity. We strive to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
